Pirosfer adalah lapisan antara, sering juga disebut mantel, karena lapisan menyelubungi inti bumi. Tebal lapisan pirosfer 1700 km dan suhunya lebih dari 2000 derajat celcius. berat jenisnya antara 5,4-8 gr/cm3.
